BGCTC’s Youth Safety and Program Updates Related to COVID-19 Outbreak

March 14, 2020 – BGCTC Announces Plans for Out-of-School Camp at its Six Branch Sites During County-wide School Closures Related to COVID-19 Outbreak 

In an effort to support Club and First Responder families most in need, Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County will offer out-of-school camp (full day programming) at its six branch locations during mandated school closures.  

Please Be Advised! Details for out-of-school camp during Thurston County school closures must remain fluid and can change at any time depending on public health and safety factors intended to ensure the health and safety of our staff and the youth we serve. Details may be adjusted at any time due to staff availability and capacity at our facilities. Every effort will be made to accommodate more youth as capacity is determined. 

We respectfully ask families to utilize our service only in case of necessity, as we will have a limited number of spaces available. All Clubs will open for out-of-school camp on Wednesday, March 18 for full day programming. Due to staff capacity, hours and prices vary depending by Branch (details below). Registration will take place Wednesday, Mar 18, 2020. 

 Tumwater Club 

  • Hours: 7 am to 5:30 pm.  
  • Fee: $85 per week per child; scholarships are available to those who qualify.  
  • Program is available for: Current members and children of First Responders and medical professionals, as capacity allows. Registration is first-come first-served; capacity is 40 school aged youth.  
  • Registration will take place on Wednesday morning. 

 Lacey Club 

  • Hours: 7 am to 5:30 pm.  
  • Fee: $85 per week per child; scholarships are available to those who qualify.  
  • Program is available to: Current members and children of First Responders and medical professionals, as capacity allows. Registration will be first-come first-served; capacity is 40 school aged youth. 
  • Registration will take place on Wednesday morning. 

 Rochester Club 

  • Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.  
  • Fee: $70 per week per child; scholarships are available to those who qualify.  
  • Program is available to: Current members and children of first responders/medical professionals, as capacity allows. Registration will be first come first served; capacity is 40 school aged youth.  
  • Registration will take place on Wednesday morning.
