Clubs Say "Goodbye" to a True Hero!

Friday, June 11 was the last day at work for our Teen Director Lewis Holmes. It was a sad day for all of us. "I can honestly say that in my more than 20 years of working with kids and youth development professionals, I have not met a professional as connected to the kids with whom he worked" said CEO Joe Ingoglia.

Lewis has more love and compassion for the kids than anyone we've ever known. And they loved him right back. And rightly so. The number of teens that owe their very lives to Lewis is beyond counting. Those teens worship him because of the man that he is, and because of the young men and women they have become.

Lewis worked for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County for more than 7 years, and leaves a legacy of confident, talented and thriving young people that have come through our Clubs. As Lewis moves on to a new stage in his life, we all wish him the utmost love and success in everything he does.

Thank you Lewis for being you and for being a hero for kids. We hope that you are not gone from our lives -- and much more -- that you continue to be a great leader.
