World Record Promotion
Supports Clubs!
 Shipwreck Beads in Lacey broke the Guiness World Record for the longest string of beads! And for every foot of beads they put on the string they donated a dollar to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County. Their goal was to create a half mile of beads and -- and they actually exceeded that projection. The world record bead chain was actually 3,469 feet! Thank you Shipwreck Beads! Our Winter Weather Policy:
When the school districts are closed due to snow, ice or wind-storm, then our Clubs in those districts will also be closed for the day. For example, Rochester School District is closed, but Tumwater School District is two hours late -- then the Rochester Club will be closed and the Tumwater Club will be open.
Additionally, if the Tumwater School District or Lacey School District is on a one or two hour delay then our Early Bird Program will be cancelled for the day.
If school is in session and the weather gets worse over the course of a day, we will make the decision to close depending on the conditions in and around that particular community -- but if school is released early due to bad weather -- then the Clubs will be closed that day. As always, the safety of the kids, families and staff is our primary concern.
We will post any Club closures here on our website as soon as we have information available.
