Local Boys & Girls Club Supporters Recognized Nationally into Jeremiah Milbank Giving Society

Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County recently inducted local supporters into the nationally recognized 2021 Jeremiah Milbank Society. This society, established by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, recognizes donors whose unrestricted annual gifts to their local Boys & Girls Clubs reach $10,000 or more.

Through their generous gifts and leadership, local Jeremiah Milbank Society members are ensuring youth attending Thurston County Clubs have access to a safe place to learn and thrive as well as caring adult professionals to guide them through their young lives.

Jeremiah Milbank, the namesake of this society, exemplified a spirit of volunteerism, generosity, compassion, and action for those in need. He believed that wealth not used to help others was wealth wasted. Milbank also served as treasurer of the national Boys & Girls Club organization for over 25 years.

BGCTC’s CEO, Chris Woods, reflected on this announcement by adding, “The funds given by Jeremiah Milbank donors help our Clubs provide core services and programs to positively impact youth each and every day. This level of engagement and passion by Jeremiah Milbank donors encourages all Club staff and also other donors.”
