BGCTC Named Beneficiary for Mike Tice Celebrity Golf Tournament

Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County will partner with the Mike Tice Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament to raise awareness and funds for local Clubs. The tournament will be held Monday, August 16, 2021, at the White Horse Golf Club in Kingston, WA. The day ends with an evening awards dinner and auction. Held last year for the first time, the celebrity golf fundraiser raised nearly $100,000 for charities.

The Mike Tice Foundation was established in 2019 by the former Seahawks player and Vikings head coach, Mike Tice, and his wife Diane. The foundation supports numerous charities within the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States, with an emphasis on youth-serving organizations. “We are pleased to continue with our goal of providing charity, hope and love to the many great organizations and causes that help shape our nation's youth,” said Tice in a statement on the foundation’s website.

Celebrities scheduled to attend include Hall of Fame wide receiver, Steve Largent; Hall of Fame left tackle, Walter Jones; former Seahawks quarterback, Jim Zorn; and more. Community members are invited to a celebrity autograph session on Sunday, August 15th from 1pm-5pm at the Clearwater Casino Canoe Ballroom. Admission is free for youth under 18 and only $6 for adults.

Golfers can sign up their foursome by visiting themiketicefoundation.com.
